On May 13, 2010 at midnight PHIT launched our first ever capital campaign with a single goal: to begin the process of raising money for our permanent home. After almost five years of training comedic talent for Philadelphia, and over 700 shows produced under our banner, we are finally ready to fufill our goal of creating a permanent home for alternative comedy in Philly.
THE RESPONSE WAS OVERWHELMING. In just six weeks we raised over $15,000 - 50% more than our goal for the first phase of the campaign. Since that time, PHIT has amassed an additional $10,000 in donations and commitments and is now meeting in person with potential larger donors and prepping another public fundraising push to finish 2010.
Did you miss out on our first round of funding opportunities? Don't worry, you can still give right here:
Missed our pitch video this past spring? It's alright, you can still check it out below or visit our kickstarter page to see how Phase I of the campaign worked.
Donations can also be mailed to PHIT at: Philly Improv Theater, 4606 Chester Avenue, Suite 1R, Philadelphia, PA 19143-3605.
